The Victorian Government is investing $13 million to upgrade three kindergartens in the City of Whittlesea, creating 194 new kindergarten places. This funding will help redevelop Dalton Road Kindergarten, Derby Meadows Preschool, and The Stables Kindergarten, making early education more accessible for local families.

The Stables Kindergarten will be rebuilt into a two-room facility with modern learning spaces and outdoor play areas, opening in early 2027. Dalton Road and Derby Meadows will integrate kindergarten and maternal health services, offering up to 118 places each by 2028.

These upgrades are part of a larger $24.25 million partnership with the Victorian Government and align with the Best Start, Best Life reform, which aims to improve early education across Victoria. The improvements will help families access affordable education while supporting parents to return to work or study.
