Germany spent 133.4 billion euros last year for training
According to data from BERLIN – Germany’s Federal Statistics Office (Destatis), education expenditures in Germany amounted to 133.4 billion euros, up 3.9 percent compared to 2016 last year.
Education expenditures accounted for 4.1 percent of the country’s GDP last year.
The largest part of the expenditures with 66.1 billion euros was to primary and secondary education institutions, 30.5 billion euro to higher education institutions and 26.6 billion euros to kindergartens and kindergartens. There was an increase of 68.7 percent in the expenditures made for the nursery.
10.6 billion euros in education spending in the federal government, 94.3 billion euros in the provincial governments, the 28.5 billion euros were made by the municipalities.
In Germany, education expenditures per person under the age of 30 were measured as 5 thousand 300 euros.
