Today, more than 160 public schools and preschools across South Australia stood silent as teachers rallied at the state parliament, united in their demand for improved pay and working conditions. It was a powerful display of solidarity, the first strike action since 2019, demonstrating the depth of frustration and determination among educators.
Thousands of teachers converged on the steps of parliament, brandishing banners and voices raised in unison, all with the shared goal of making the government take notice. They’re exhausted, overstretched, and reaching their breaking point, but their commitment to their students remains unwavering.
