The kindergarten’s name, “Yallabirrang,” means “Collingwood” in the Woi-Wurrung language, chosen in consultation with the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation. The facility offers free sessional kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds, supported by significant funding from the Victorian Government, Yarra City Council, and Collingwood College. This initiative underscores Yarra’s commitment to reconciliation and cultural recognition.
